New circular on solar power<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Circular 01\/2023\/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is the latest circular on solar power issued to date.<\/span><\/p>\n

Circular 01\/2023\/TT-BCT was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to abolish and amend a number of regulations in Circular No. 02\/2019\/TT-BCT and Circular No. 18\/2020\/TT-BCT.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many regulations related to the development of wind power projects and model electricity trading for these projects have been abolished by Circular 01\/2023\/TT-BCT.\u00a0Specifically, the regulatory points that have been removed include Clause 3, Article 3, Article 4, Article 7, and Clause 2, Article 9 of Circular 02\/2019\/TT-BCT.\u00a0This new Circular also removes Point a, Clause 1, Article 4 and the phrase “Electricity trading prices of rooftop solar power systems comply with the provisions of Article 8 of Decision No. 13\/2020\/QD-TTg dated June 6 April 2020 of the Prime Minister approving the incentive mechanism for the development of solar power projects in Vietnam” at Point a, Clause 1, Article 5 of Circular 18\/2020\/TT-BCT.\u00a0Circular 01\/2023\/TT-BCT takes effect from January 19, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Circular No. 18 solar power dated July 17, 2020<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Circular No. 18\/2020\/TT-BCT dated July 17, 2020 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stipulating the order of priority and procedures for granting certificates of eligibility to develop grid-connected solar power projects, as well as directions guide the implementation of electricity purchase contracts.\u00a0In particular, the circular regulates requirements on capacity, area, completion and operation time of grid-connected solar power projects.\u00a0In addition, the circular also mentions the basic contents of the electricity purchase contract between the electricity seller and the electricity buyer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Decree No. 63\/2020\/ND-CP dated August 18, 2020<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Decree No. 63\/2020\/ND-CP dated August 18, 2020 of the Government supplemented and amended a number of articles of Decree No. 63\/2018\/ND-CP dated May 4, 2018 on support mechanisms develop renewable energy projects.\u00a0According to this decree, renewable energy projects, including solar power, are exempt from corporate income tax for 04 years from the date of taxable income and 50% corporate income tax reduction for the next 09 years. according to.<\/span><\/p>\n
